Can you imagine wearing these glasses?

Google X labs started Project Glass to build this kind of technology, one that helps you explore and share your world, putting you back in the moment. They are sharing this information now because they want to start a conversation and learn from your valuable input. So they took a few design photos to show what this technology could look like and created a video to demonstrate what it might enable you to do.
What would you like to see from Project Glass?
Say Thanks

Some suggest even instant face recognition - so names will show up while walking down the street...
It's a bit scary but I like the idea. The instant face recognition already exists:
Big Brother...since they will gather the data no doubt.
I would prefer a watch version
I have enough difficulty in seeing what's in front of my face without supernumerary information blocking the view. Might be useful in a vertical market such as medicine, where references might pop up during an examination/operation or something, but as a social tool...you need a alife befopre myou need these glasses. IMHO.
That reminds of me of "Sixth Sense"
The video was not loaded in the previous comment. here it is, about "Sixth Sense"
There's also a very nice parody on what the Google glasses would look like if they were made by Microsoft :-)
Here's the first video sample from Google's Project Glass:

"instant recognition" exists also in use of a "bar code reader" - which some mobiles have
there are parties, like "facebook parties" where people go with the code printed on the shirt and...
who is who is no longer secret : )
still,
I like white simple shirt ;)
Happy time & rgds

I am actually looking forward to the day these glasses are available in stores. Yes - they make you look silly and there is going to be a lot of data mining, but it also provides incredible opportunities for users and online retailers/advertisers.
Plus I am tired of people bumping into each other when they walk their heads down staring at their smartphones :)
