Luggage on connecting flights

Im taking a connecting flight next week and wondered what you do with your luggage between flights.

Do you have to collect it then check it in again for flight 2, or do the airlines deal with it for you?

    Hi Andrea, If you booked the connected flight in one booking at the same airline or airline partners, Check In desk will in most cases automatically transfer your baggage to your final destination and you wil receive both boarding cards, unless your stop over country requires to clear customs again...
